Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine which originated in China over 5,0000 years ago.

Acupuncture works by managing the energy flow (Qi) through the energy meridians of the body.

There are over 500 acupuncture points and by stimulating these points with needles or laser the quality and energy of Qi and fluids can be normalised.

Laser Acupuncture

Laser acupuncture uses light instead of needles to stimulate acupuncture points and is painless. Laser can be used for a variety of situations including needle phobic patients, children, musculo-skeletal issues and for smoking cessation.

Chinese Herbal Remedies

Chinese Herbal remedies can be prescribed in powder or in pill form. Herbs are used in many conditions to complement an acupuncture treatment but may also be independent of acupuncture treatment.

Tuina Massage

Tuina massage is often used as part of a standard acupuncture treatment. It is helpful for muscular skeletal conditions and stress-related disorders.

Cupping

Cupping is performed as adjuct to acupunture treatment and is helpful for muscular/skeletal conditions as well as respiratory ailments.

Suction glass or plastic cups are applied to the skin so that the skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup. This is usually achieved by using heat or mechanical means to draw out the air from the suction cups.

Ear Candling

Ear Candles are placed in the external ear canal to gently clear accumulation of wax and mucous from the ear and sinuses.
